Long time Bengals Ambassador, Aldege Bellefeuille, receives Sovereign's Medal for Volunteers
Recipient – Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers
The Orléans Bengals are very proud to have the opportunity to inform all of you that on Friday April 28th, 2017, Bengals beloved coach, father, friend, mentor and old-school gentleman whom we all know and love, Aldege Bellefeuille, was awarded the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteer by none other than the Governor General, His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston.
Aldege exemplifies the four pillars necessary to build a strong, vibrant community; service delivery excellence, leadership, innovation and relationship building the field. He is always able to handle difficult conversations with honesty, integrity and compassion; this is what continues to earn him the respect of his players, fellow coaches, parents, referees, etc.. Community volunteers gravitate to confident leaders because confidence is contagious, and it helps the entire organization to believe that there are great things are in store. Aldege is not only an incredible volunteer who gives back every day of his life but he is also the Bengals leader on and off the field.
Aldege is one of those people whose skill and dedication motivate those around him, raising the quality of coaching and learning in everyone he touches. There are no words to express the gratitude that the Orléans Bengals feel towards Aldege Bellefeuille and we are honoured that he has chosen to be part of our organization for so many years.
